JFF & Mayyim Hayyim & Rising Tide National Mikveh Training
National Mikveh Training with Mayyim Hayyim, Rising Tide Open Waters Mikveh Network, and Jewish Fertility Foundation: Supporting Fertility and Family-Building Journeys
October 29 | 8:00 PM ET | Virtual
The mikveh can be a deeply meaningful and sacred space for those navigating fertility and family-building journeys. But for individuals experiencing infertility, pregnancy loss, fertility treatment, or other complex paths to parenthood, the mikveh experience can also bring unique emotional and practical challenges.
The Jewish Fertility Foundation, Mayyim Hayyim, and Rising Tide Open Waters Mikveh Network are proud to host our first National Mikveh Training, an interactive virtual session designed specifically for mikveh attendants and leaders. This training provides education, practical tools, and compassionate approaches for supporting individuals and couples experiencing infertility and other family-building challenges.
Who should attend
This training is for mikveh attendants, mikveh directors, mikveh educators, and other mikveh staff and leaders who interact with individuals and couples at the mikveh and want to better understand and support those on fertility and family-building journeys.
What the training covers
Participants will explore the emotional realities of infertility, understand how mikveh experiences may be affected by fertility treatments and loss, and learn ways to create a more sensitive, inclusive, and supportive mikveh environment. The training will also address language, boundaries, confidentiality, and opportunities for mikveh attendants to serve as compassionate resources while honoring the sacred role of the mikveh.
