Meet the Author with JFF-DC

Join us on February 27 at 7PM to hear Author Sadeqa Johnson discuss her newest novel, “The House of Eve”.  The best-selling author of “The Yellow Wife” wrote this historical fiction novel, a Reese Witherspoon Book Club pick, that takes place in both Philadelphia and DC, and follows two women struggling with fitting in, discrimination, struggling with pregnancy loss, difficult in-laws, and much more.

Sadeqa Johnson is the award-winning author of And Then There Was Me, Second House From the Corner, Love in a Carry-on Bag and Yellow WifeYellow Wife is a 2022 Hurston/Wright Foundation Legacy nominee, a BCLA Literary Honoree and a Barnes & Noble book club pick in paperback.

Johnson will be in conversation with Donna Hemans. Hemans is the author of River Woman and Tea by the Sea. Her third novel, The House of Plain Truth, is forthcoming from Zibby Books in fall 2023.
